| Boreal Sanctuary | Sanctuary located in Watcher's Tundra. Anomaly: permanent winter. Unlocks advanced tracking and predictive migration. |
| Capacity Library | All abilities a Faeral has ever learned. Unlimited size. Player equips 4 as active — cannot change during battle. |
| Climate Nexus | Region containing the Nexus Sanctuary, origin point of the global disruption. |
| Codex | Encyclopedia feature built into the Linker. Unlocked at the Sanctuary of Archives. Logs full condition snapshots when a special ability is triggered. No hints given beforehand. |
| Dr. Theo Retical | Lead scientist and mentor. Discovered the Sanctuary siphoning. Maintains radio contact with the player throughout the game. (First name reveal: Theo — Theoretical.) |
| Ana Lysis | Scientist character reserved for future use. (First name reveal: Ana — Analysis. Lysis is also a biology term.) |
| Ecological Journal | In-game log of ecological events: migrations, climate anomalies, extinctions, endangered species alerts. |
| Faeral | A creature that can be bonded with via the Linker. Plural: Faerals. |
| Field Request | Casual quest from an NPC. No ! marker, no formal acceptance, expires with ecosystem state. Small rewards. |
| Fossil Gardens | Region containing the Sanctuary of Genesis. |
| Linkee | A person bonded to Faerals via a Linker. Common/informal term. |
| Linker | Wrist-worn device that maintains bonds between a Linkee and their Faerals. Powered by Living Lines. Manages team of 4 active + storage (hotswappable anywhere). Level cap increases with each Sanctuary restored. |
| Living Lines | Ancient energy network connecting all Sanctuaries. Powers the Linker. Disruption of Living Lines causes ecological instability. |
| Nexus Sanctuary | Final sanctuary at the Climate Nexus. Unlocks worldwide sync, PvP, and global climate stabilisation. |
| Research Commission | Structured quest from Dr. Theo or institutions. Max 2–3 active. Tied to narrative. Better rewards. |
| Resonant Ruins | Region containing the Sanctuary of Resonance. |
| Resonator, The | The Unchained's forced-bond device. Uses Living Line energy to control Faerals without consent. Requires massive energy drawn from Sanctuaries. |
| Sanctuary | Ancient structure that maintained the Living Lines. 10 exist across the world. Each acts as a dunjon/main region and unlocks a gameplay mechanic when restored. |
| Spawn Score | Formula: biome_compatibility × climate_compatibility × population_presence × prey_predator_balance × player_pressure_modifier. Determines encounter probability for a species in a zone. |
| Special Ability | Ability learned by meeting undisclosed conditions. Conditions are logged in the Codex on first trigger. Same ability may have different trigger conditions per species. |
| Sunken Library | Region containing the Sanctuary of Archives. |
| Tempest Cliffs | Region containing the Sanctuary of Currents. |
| The Unchained | Antagonist faction. Opposes Linkees and Faeral combat for sport. Uses the Resonator and an aggression drug to control Faerals. Drains Sanctuaries to power their device. |
| Warden | Formal/institutional Linkee. Ranger/enforcement role in the world's lore. The Unchained would call them jailers. |
| Watcher's Tundra | Region containing the Boreal Sanctuary. |
